1. NO WAITING — The vehicle needs to be left by 8:30am (which includes leaving the night before your appointment) and will be done by 5:00pm. Please do not reach out and inquire the status of your vehicle, once the vehicle is completed or we have an update, we will reach out to you.

2. DROP OFF SERVICE ONLY — When you drop your vehicle off, please leave your keys in the key-drop cabin (located at the rear of the front building). Fill out and attach a yellow key tag with your last name and the vehicle’s licenses plate number. We kindly ask our customers to not walk past our DO NOT ENTER sign. Our technicians are working hard and cannot assist you.

3. CUSTOMER SERVICE — Email info@hoffmanautolp.com or text 518-291-4368 for assistance and someone will respond as soon as possible. Texting is the fastest way to communicate with us or call our service writer at 518-523-2888. Were happy to answer any questions for you.

4. Multi Point Inspection (MPI) — We are a family run company and not a “quick lube” facility. When a vehicle comes in for service, our team will perform an MPI AT THE CUSTOMERS CHARGE. This service includes oil replacement, tire changes, diagnosis, alignments, etc. MPI costs are billed per-hour, but on average a car may cost $74.00, and a large truck would be $96.00. For example:

   • An oil change on your 2019 Honda Civic: $74.00 for the MPI, $44.40 for the “oil change” service, total cost would be $119 plus oil/filter/fluids (approx. $150-170). The results of the MPI would be listed for the customer on the invoice and explained to the customer via text.

   • We do not include MPI service with NYS inspections unless the customer specifically requests it, as state regulations prohibit additional charges without the customer’s consent.

5. DIAGNOSIS YOUR VEHICLE - An evaluation to check your car’s systems and identify any problems.

6. (i.e. “CHECK ENGINE” light, brake noise, vibrations, suspension noise, etc.) — is billed at $148.00/hour and actual hours. For example:

   • You have a noise in your brakes you would like diagnosed: Takes technician 0.60hr to diagnose it, total cost would be $88.80 plus tax for DIAGNOSIS OF THE ISSUE ONLY. Any addition repairs will be quoted, approved by customer, and performed later.

   • You have a “CHECK ENGINE” light illuminated: Takes the technician 2.10hr to diagnose, total cost would be $310.80 plus tax for DIAGNOSIS OF THE ISSUE ONLY. Any addition repairs will be quoted, approved by customer, and performed later.

7. PAYMENT — contactless: Once your vehicle is complete, our service writer will contact you regarding the services performed. Invoices are sent for payment via text or email. Vehicle keys will be returned only after payment is received.

8. VEHICLE PICKUP — We will arrange a secure place to leave your vehicle keys for pickup. Our team assures you that your vehicle will be well cared for on our lot, which is monitored by surveillance.
